The Cape Town International Animation Festival is the only dedicated African Animation Festival on the continent, with a programme that has something for both young and old fans.
Visitors can enjoy films, workshops, the artist alley, competitions and much much more!
This year guests can enjoy stop motion and Zoetrope workshops as well as traditional and digital drawing workshops. Come and have fun bringing pictures, clay or puppets to life one snap shot at a time. All you need to bring is an ipad or smart phone running one of the following free apps• OSnap!• Stop Motion• Stikbot
For our older delegates there is the annual Cosplay parade and dedicated VR cinema for them to enjoy.

The Cape Town Carnival is a glamorous celebration of the transformative power of creativity and out African identity with its diverse array of communities and cultures.
Every year, this festive occasion inspires the city and her people to create, build and play together – thousands of spectators converge annually on Green Points’ famous Fan Walk to join the extravagant parade of costumed performers, musicians, and moving floats.
The Cape Town Carnival is operated by a non-profit trust with the purpose of staging this world-class event, simultaneously creating jobs and benefiting our local community
Come and celebrate with us in our whimsical valley the end of harvest. Our annual Nuy Valley festival is hosted by Nuy Winery at Nuy on the Hill, Willow Creek Olive Estate, Conradie Penhill Artisanal Wines, and Leipzig Country House and Winery.
You can tuck into to country food and tasting wines under the warm sun and fresh country air.
There will be live music, lots of activities for the children, a trial run / mtb race through the golden vineyards and our famous Nuy Valley Express taking you from one venue to another.
